HOW IT WORKS

  • 1. Order Your Recycling

    Order and pay for your Bromic Oxygen Recycling Service online. We'll send you our box to safely pack your empty cylinders into. You will also receive an email with a link to book your collection.

  • 2. Pack Your Cylinders

    Once you receive your box, assemble it and pack your 4 empty oxygen cylinders inside. Ensure they are completely empty and securely packed, then place them outside, ready for collection.

  • 3. Book Your Collection

    When ready, book your collection via the link we emailed you. Our courier will collect your packaged cylinders directly from your location. No need to print labels - they’ll bring all required shipping materials.

How do I know if my cylinder is empty? 

There are a few ways to check if you Oxygen cylinder is empty including:

  • Check the weight - if you know the weight of an empty cylinder, you can work out how much of the gas is left.
  • By feel - an empty cylinder feels significantly lighter than a full cylinder, and you can 'swoosh' the cylinder around to feel if there's any liquid left inside.

Note: Inside most cylinders is a liquid - gas mixture.

What box should I use for my cylinders? 

Before booking a courier to collect your empty cylinders, you’ll need to place an order for a specific cardboard box that we’ll send out to you. This box is designed for repacking your cylinders and meets strict requirements for handling dangerous goods, including the necessary markings and safety standards. Using this box ensures compliance with transport regulations and helps keep the return process safe and efficient.

How can I safely store empty cylinders until recycling? 

Cylinders should be stored as per the directions on the label. Protect from sunlight. Store in a well-ventilated place. Do not expose to temperatures above 50°C.

Do you accept any Oxygen cylinders?

No. We only currently accept Bromic Oxygen cylinders, 1L in capacity. SKU 1811320

What happens to the cylinder once collected? 

It is returned to us where we decant it, depressurise and then send for recycling.

Can I drop my cylinders off somewhere?

Due to the handling of dangerous goods, we only offer the recycling service with collection via our courier. This ensure the cylinders are transported safely from the pickup point to the recycling point.
